Fab X Pro - Cura Integration





Introduction

The latest version of Cura(Cura 4.6) and above will come with the FabX Pro machine settings integrated into the slicer. This makes it a lot easier as all profiles have been customized and tweaked to perfection. The current version of Cura and profiles are released in beta stage, in case you are having trouble with slicing kindly reach out to us at support@3ding.in

Setting up

The process of setting up and slicing your prints has never been easier:

Step 1: Download the latest version of cura from the following website  https://ultimaker.com/software/ultimaker-cura
Step 2: Install the software onto your desktop and run the software once the installation is complete
Step 3: Under the add printer dialog box, scroll down to the FabX option in the non-network printer section  and click on FabX and select the Fabx pro


Step 4: Once you have selected the machine pre-determined profiles will automatically load, select the appropriate material under the material drop-down menu and navigate to REDD




step 5: After selecting the material, you will have three choices of profiles. These profiles are based on layer height. Three profiles, Fine, Normal and Draft are available.



Step 6: Once the profile is selected load your model and hit slice!


Congrats you have sliced your model !. Use the save gcode option on the bottom left to save the gcode to an sd card and start the print.
