How to Deal with Filament Feeding Issue

How to Fix Filament issue

This issue consists of the filament not extruding from the nozzle. There could be thre possible reasons for that

  1. The filament may have got Tangled

In this case the filament may have got from the spool side resulting in increase in the tension This may result into the stepper not able to feed the filament in the extruder.

  1. Grinding of the Filament

  1. Here in this case the Plastic is getting accumulated on the teeth of the gear and roller assembly resulting slipping of the filament there. To overcome this issue, we need to take a toothbrush and clean both the roller and Gear assembly of the feeder mechanism.

  1. The other reason may be due to excessive friction the filament may be getting Grinded thus the extruder motor will not be able to feed the filament properly. So you need to adjust the grip by adjusting the Spring along with the Allen Screw mounted on roller assembly at the top portion.
